MJ.N Photography is the culmination of a lifelong passion for visual storytelling — merging a 20-year career in global technology leadership, extensive international travel, and a deep appreciation for architecture, nature, and the human form.

 

Based in Sherman, Connecticut, and Brooklyn Heights, New York, my work explores the relationship between the human body and the landscapes, structures, and environments that surround it. Each photograph is built around light, composition, and emotional honesty — images that aim to linger.

I began photographing in 2012 as a creative counterpart to a demanding professional life. What started as a personal outlet has grown into a dedicated practice. My process centers on finding the right location, building genuine trust with my subjects, and letting the environment shape the narrative. From the quiet hills of the Berkshire Mountains to the streets of Brooklyn, Tokyo, Paris, and Buenos Aires, each shoot is a deliberate collaboration between place, person, and light.

 

My work has been exhibited and published internationally, and in 2025 was recognized with an Honorable Mention at the 39th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition for the photograph Luminescence. I serve as Photographer in Residence at Gallery 25 in New Milford, Connecticut, and as a board member of the Sherman Artists Association.
